WHAT IS SOMATIC RELEASE BREATHWORK?
What Is Somatic Release Breathwork?
Somatic Release Breathwork integrates conscious breathing with somatic awareness — the understanding that emotions and life experiences are stored not only in the mind, but in the body. Through guided breath patterns, grounding, and mindful attention, clients are supported in releasing emotional tension, accessing inner calm, and reconnecting with themselves on a deeper level.
Each session is facilitated in a safe, trauma-informed space designed to meet you exactly where you are.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Somatic Breathwork FAQ
What does a session look like?
Sessions last about 90 minutes and include a brief introduction, a short meditation, and around an hour of active breathing. Jessie guides you through gentle breath patterns while inviting awareness of the body. As the session deepens, emotions and sensations may surface—laughter, tears, tingling, or stillness—all natural signs of release and regulation. Each session closes with grounding and integration to help you process and return to calm before leaving.
Do I need any previous experience with breathwork or meditation?
No experience is necessary. Each session is guided and tailored to your comfort level. You’ll be supported in finding a rhythm that feels right for your body and emotional state.
What if strong emotions come up during a session?
That’s completely normal and often part of the healing process. Breathwork can open space for emotions the body has been holding onto. All feelings are welcome—there’s no right or wrong experience. Jessie provides a safe, compassionate space where you can release, express, or simply allow what arises to move through you.
How is Somatic Release Breathwork different from talk therapy?
Traditional talk therapy helps clients process experiences through conversation and insight. Somatic Release Breathwork works through the body, allowing emotions and stress stored in the nervous system to release and integrate. Many clients find that combining breathwork with counseling deepens their emotional healing and enhances self-awareness.
Is Somatic Release Breathwork for everyone?
Somatic Release Breathwork is safe for most individuals. Jessie typically works with clients ages 16 and up. Each session is trauma-informed and adapted to your individual needs and comfort level. If you have specific medical or mental health concerns, you’re encouraged to discuss them beforehand to ensure the safest and most supportive experience possible.
How can I prepare for my session?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to breathe easily and feel relaxed. Bring a journal if you’d like to reflect or write after the session. Above all, come with an open mind and a willingness to meet yourself wherever you are. Ease, curiosity, and self-compassion are key.
How much are sessions?
Jessie offers private Somatic Release Breathwork sessions in-office for $222. Each session lasts approximately 90 minutes and includes guided breathing, grounding, and integration. Jessie also facilitates group breathwork sessions, which offer a shared experience of release and connection. Group sessions are scheduled periodically throughout the year—please inquire for upcoming dates.
What might I feel afterward?
Many clients describe feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected to themselves. Others notice increased clarity, emotional release, or physical ease. Each experience is unique—the goal is not perfection but presence. Over time, you may find greater balance, peace, and resilience in both body and mind.
